Feeding the Future

Donate Now!

We are eradicating childhood hunger in Africa, one school meal at a time.

At Food for Education (F4E), we believe no child should have to learn on an empty stomach.

  • For every $1 invested in school feeding, there is a $9 return.
  • We have served over 31 million hot, affordable, nutritious school meals to some of the poorest children in Kenya since our inception.
  • We work in partnership with parents, philanthropy, and government as co-financiers to create scalability and sustainability of our program.

These are the men and women who make make it all possible.

Tap2Eat

Tap2Eat is a digital mobile platform that uses cutting edge FinTech to enable public primary school children access nutritious food for education.

Parents pay for subsidized school lunches using mobile money (which has near 100% penetration in Kenya). The amount is credited to a virtual wallet linked to an “NFC-technology” enabled smart wristband, which students use to then ‘tap to eat’ in under 5 seconds.
